If you get nothing else from this page, I would like to give you an idea of what I'm all about. My overarching teaching methodology centers around the fostering of student creativity. In essence, I strive to create an English environment in which students find expression through the English language, both in their reading and writing. I do this by empowering students to pick their own adventures while in my classes. Students will make collective and individual decisions about curricular reading, choice writing prompts, and other classroom projects, resulting in an individualized class curriculum from year to year. The bottom line? My class will ultimately take shape around the student's interests, drawing from their own passions to propel them into discovery.
