For Students

Hello, and welcome to my class! I hope that you are as excited as I am to be working with you! In my class (click here to get a sneak peak at what we'll be covering!), we will aim to tackle many great works of literature together. Furthermore, we will each tackle external sources of literature, which we will all individually select. Below are a few examples of wonderful books I've read! You will be able to find all of these in my classroom, along with many other books. Happy reading!

The Alchemist | Paulo Cohelo

Adventure. Trial. Sacrifice. For a poor, Spanish shepherd boy, these were only words. But when a reoccurring dream inexorably urges him to pack up and hunt for a treasure beneath the pyramids of Egypt, he will leave everything behind and answer the summons. Along the way, he will see the wonders of the world, of life itself, and learn the language that binds all hearts together.

The Winter King| Bernard Cornwell

A fresh new take on the legend of King Arthur and the Sword in the Stone! Set amid the strife and turmoil of vast religious conflicts, impending Viking Raids, and feudal tribalism of the kingdoms of Medieval England, Cornwell illustrates a world unlike anything you've seen before. We see this world through the eyes of Derfel, an eager young warrior who rises to become the right-hand man of the one and only Arthur Pendragon.
